Amit Magdieli
Amit Magdieli is the founder of Magdieli Property Management and a licensed real estate agent. Amit started Magdieli Property Management over 15 years ago in Washington, DC.
Amit’s professional proficiency for managing properties comes out of his burgeoning love for construction and housing projects and desire to be the landlord he always wanted (but never got) from his landlords as a young group house tenant when he first moved to Washington in 1999. This led him to specialize in converting DC row houses into multi-unit and group rental properties in the Washington, DC market. For Amit, there is something very satisfying about a tangible result of envisioning the design, aesthetics and functional skills needed to convert or renovate a property. In Amit’s free time, he can be found touring Washington, D.C., awe-inspired by the energy and beauty of the city with its diverse neighborhoods, old character-filled row houses, impressive monuments and historical buildings. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends, often skiing, scuba diving or biking. Amit also serves as the legislative chair of the DC chapter of the National Association of Residential Property Managers. A New Jersey native Amit received his MBA in Management and Finance from the Johns Hopkins University and his BA in Economics and Political Science from Emory University.
Karina Kifariuk
Karina brings a heart-centered, global perspective to Magdieli Property Management, fueled by a lifelong passion for the home. Growing up in a family business dedicated to home interiors, she learned early on that thoughtful details are what turn a house into a sanctuary. She finds genuine joy in the personal impact of property management, striving to help every tenant find a space where they truly belong.
With a Bachelor’s in Business from Kyiv and a Master’s in Hospitality from Spain, Karina excels at managing complex operations in high-pressure environments. She successfully led the hectic project of opening a hotel and managed five-star service teams. This background, combined with years of zero-error technical experience in the mortgage domain, allows her to handle property transitions and lease administrations with both precision and care. Now a proud D.C. local, Karina is dedicated to providing a seamless, hospitable experience for every resident and property owner she serves.
Joy Hendrickson
Joy joined Magdieli Property Management as a lead leasing manager where she supports the leasing process and overall client experience. She is seasoned, licensed real estate agent in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia, with a background in residential and commerical real estate as well as property management. Prior to transitioning into real estate, Joy worked in advertising, bringing a strong foundation in marketing, branding, and client relations. She began her real estate career in the Philippines working as a developer, later gaining valuable experience with Sotheby’s, before returning to the DMV area. Known for her professionalism, attention to detail, and seamless execution, Joy brings a refined eye for design – particularly furniture and spatial aesthetics – ensuring each property is presented at its highest potential. Raised as a Foreign Service child and having spent several years living in the Philippines, she offers a global perspective and appreciation for diverse cultures. In her free time, Joy enjoys traveling – especially coastal destinations – discovering new restaurants, and exploring a curated selection of wines, while also embracing life as a proud dog mom and mom in the Washington, DC area.
Zak Arctander
As Property Manager and Leasing Agent, Zak is instrumental in managing our new client experience from showing homes to prospective tenants, to managing the leasing process and tenant transitions. Armed with a smile and a deep knowledge of all DC neighborhoods, offerings, and happenings, he joins Magdieli Property Management from a career in the arts. He studied Photography at the Yale School of Art and has taught Visual Art at Williams College and the Yale University Art Gallery. He is excited by the access to nature that DC offers and spends as much time outdoors with his family and DC weather allows!
Charles Lewis
Charles Lewis comes to Magdieli Property Management as the Operations Manager bringing a deep and varied entrepreneurial and construction background. Charles honed his customer service skills as a bar and restaurant owner in the heart of Bangkok, Thailand after spending his early adult life in Guatemala working in the service industry.
A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, Charles returned back to Washington, to build and grow a successful housing contracting business before transitioning to property management. He brings years of experience in working well with clients, making our tenants and vendors feel at ease, and doing all of this fluently in Spanish and Thai when called upon. When not troubleshooting or problem solving our varied housing requests, Charles likes to ride motorcycles, play with his pup, and endlessly search for the best Latin-American food in DC. Jonathan Macias
Jonathan Macias comes to Magdieli Property Management with over 10 years experience managing large teams in the military, hospitality management and as a property investor, licensed real estate agent and property manager. For MPM, he serves as the operations lead charged with managing repair teams, property transitions, general repairs and improvements. After four years in the US Marine Corps and graduating from the University of Maryland with a Bachelors in Business Administration, Jonathan has dedicated his career to promoting excellent client and tenant relationships and strives to deliver value, and transparency in all his work products. When not in the office, on the phones, or checking in on properties, he’s probably hiking, working-out or travelling. Jonathan loves to go on runs in our amazing runner-friendly Nations Capital and fire up the grill and cook.
